| .Emerson
Institute requires that students register separately for each
certificate or degree program. You will not be required to
register for Practitioner certification if your goal is a Ministerial
Certificate, but you will be required to take the Practitioner Studies
coursework. If you wish to pursue a doctoral degree, you will be
required to register for the master's degree program if you have not
already completed one, as it is prerequisite to the doctoral program to
first obtain a master's degree..
All advanced degree programs require the completion of the entire curriculum beginning with the 100 level coursework and build upon that foundation. Vision The Emerson staff and faculty are dedicated
to education for personal and global transformation. Our aim is to lead the student to an understanding and embodiment of Universal Principles so that they can pursue their unlimited spiritual, emotional, intellectual and social potential. We provide students with the instructional resources that will help them realize this potential, develop healthy relationships, and build powerful and loving spiritual communities. Emerson Institute was established in 1993 under the direction of Dr. Angelo
Pizelo, the Director of the Positive Living Center of Central California, Inc. located in Oakhurst, CA. The Institute is the educational arm of the Affiliated New Thought Network
(ANTN). In 1997, Dr. Susanne Freeborn developed the online studies program
which makes it possible for people to study anywhere in the world. Our programs are designed to compliment and reinforce the student's objectives, chosen outcome, and level of experience for a given course of study. We expect students to self-direct their learning, choosing their own pace, style, place and time. Since adult learning is life-centered, students will be asked to draw upon their experience, interests, work, life situations and relationships to add depth and focus to their program. |
