The Emerson Online Practitioner Course
fulfills all the requirements for
Practitioner licensing, including support for ways for students to accomplish the internship that follows their studies. This course
is prerequisite to ministerial studies, and all other degree programs offered by Emerson Institute, i., e., Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate Degrees in Religious
Studies. This coursework prepares the student for a professional practice as a
licensed Practitioner of Religious Science. Including practical experience and
advanced training, this is an intensive study that will properly prepare you
for practice as a licensed practitioner, or affirmative prayer partner.
Beginning
with study of The Practitioner Handbook, written by Rev. Mary E. Schroeder and Dr. James Golden,
and The Science of Mind by Ernest Holmes, the course will include study of
texts by historic New Thought writers such as Emma Curtis Hopkins', Scientific Christian Mental Practice, F. L. Rawson's
Scientific Prayer, and Treatment or Healing by True Prayer. Additional texts and short readings come from a variety of sources including Emmet Fox, Raymond Charles Barker,
Mary Manin Morrissey and other New Thought Luminaries. The online portion of the class will take 2.0 hours, once per week and the course will require brief written responses to questions contained in the weekly course materials which are to be e-mailed to the instructor prior to each class.
You must have completed the equivalent of the first two years of New Thought,
Unity, or Religious Science studies prior to enrollment. Applications for admission
to Emerson Institute are available and an
EMERSON
INSTITUTE ADMISSIONS FORM must be mailed directly to Emerson Institute and accompanied by a $100.00 registration
fee if your goal is Practitioner status.
Credit
for Previous Studies:
The
Institute will give credit for previous studies successfully completed through
other schools and, in some situations, work experience, seminars, and
workshops related to the major field of study. To receive credit for previous
studies, transcripts from other schools, certificates, of attendance form
seminars and workshops with hours of attendance, must be included with the
Application for Admission.
If you have a goal that exceeds the Practitioner requirements academically,
you should apply for that program instead and simply register for the
Practitioner Course if it is a part of your prerequisites. A
PRACTITIONER
COURSE REGISTRATION FORM,
tuition and exam fees for the course of $1200.00, paid according
